Want to mix some of the hottest colors of the season in Premo?

I love this color combination and I see it everywhere in home decor right now - but how do you mix them?  Easy!

The Olive Green: Cad Yellow, Green, Black 6:1:1

The Yellow: Cad Yellow and Ecru 1:1

The Turquoise: Cobalt Blue Hue, Ecru 4:1 with a touch of Green

The Darker Green: Green, Ecru, Black 3:1:1

Want to soften a color but not make it a pastel?  Use Ecru instead of White.

Want to darken a color without losing the intensity of the color? Add Black and a little Ecru.

My first tip is exactly what I talked about in my column in Expression (March-April),  Why did we think we couldn't use Sculpey III? Because we are grown up? Please, I know you too well.  Because we are all such bitchen artists that we could ignore a whole color palette of materials?  Not me!!

These are my photos of the designs featured in the magazine.  There is no reason why we can't use S3 and back it on Premo for durability! The stamp is from one of my favorite stamp/stencil places - RSPhawaii.com  Deb even has fat quarters in Hawaiian prints for you quilters!!

OH! How could I forget?  These are some of the 16 new S3 colors. This is Granny Apple Green and Sunset (mixed with Gold).  The other color are: Pottery, Just Orange, Tomato Red, Ballerina, Spring Lilac, French Blue, Stonewash (denim!), Moss (occluded Jade - right out of the package!), Pale Pistachio, String Bean, Vanilla Creme, Elephant Gray and Sunshine.

This photo courtesy of Kimba on Polymer Clay Central.  Lucky chatters in my PCC chat were sent this box of the new colors from Sculpey!  There is Sunset and Granny Apple green right in the center..

There are also some new molds, I don't remember the names of all of them, but there is a new baby mold, an America/patriotic mold, a cute new alphabet set, and a double set of the seasons that has the little flip-flop that is all the rage for charms.  I'll link to the Sculpey product pages when they become available.
